Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's sons - was born at Woodland Hills, California in 1956. Her father taught at school, and her mom was a housewife. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her elder brothers. McCormick was an accomplished singer and performer from an early age. She would perform shows using puppets for her neighbors. At the age of six, McCormick old, she won her first prize in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency phoned and asked if she would like to enter the show business. McCormick was hired to star in her debut major performance in 1964 on a tv commercial for Mattels latest doll Baby Pattaburp. That year that followed, she appeared in a second commercial on television for Chatty-Cathy's doll. Soon afterward, McCormick was chosen by La Jolla Playhouse to play the role of the character It up until It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was among 1200 other children who auditioned for the role of the oldest towheaded girl in The Brady Bunch. The sitcom starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed who were newlyweds with the same family as a blended one. The series lasted 5 years. McCormick in her memoir Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published In 2008 McCormick revealed how during the fifth season of the television show, she nearly lost her virginity with her twin brother Barry Williams. He was just 19. She was 16. This would have occurred, she says. But, the time of our romance was not the right one.
