Annette O'Toole spent her childhood in the Houston studio that was run by her mother. When she was just two, she made her first appearance on television when she was a kid in The Don Mahoney Children's Trooper program. She was 13 when, after ten years of singing and dancing instruction in her past, she and her mother traveled on a journey to L.A. for a year to see if she could pursue a career in show business. The first show she worked on as a professional dancing instructor in less than two months. Danny Kaye's show The Danny Kaye Show. O'Toole's first appearance as an actor was My Three Sons. This was immediately followed with Gunsmoke. The Mod Squad. as well as Hawaii Five-O. O'Toole has been a part of more than 40 television series. Despite her fame for her work in TV and films her passion lies in theater. After her run of six years on Smallville concluded, she decided to pursue theater as her primary focus, which is what she's done for the last ten years. She went to New York and her first audition was the reason she was included in The Sea Gull. She's performed in numerous off Broadway productions like Adam Rapp's "Kindness", Tracy Letts Man from Nebraska and Tennessee Williams A Lovely Sunday for Creve Couer.
